What types of animals do you pet sit?

We provide in-home pet sitting services in Upcountry Maui. We care mainly for dogs and cats and can care for small in-home pets such as bunnies, birds and fish.

Where do you provide pet sitting services?

We serve the areas of Upcountry Maui including Kula, Pukulani, Makawao, Hailiimaile and some N. Shore areas by request. N. Shore areas include a nominal travel fee in addition to fee visit.

How do I get started with booking 808 Pet Sitting services?

Click on the Book Now page and submit the form with all requested information. Within 24-48 hours you will receive an email response for a free initial phone consultation.

How far in advance should I book?

The sooner the better! While we accept ongoing clients we also accept a limited amount of clients per week.  

Do you offer any overnight services?

At this time we are not offering any overnight pet sitting.  We are happy to do late night or early morning check-ins, or multiple check-ins each day while you're away but we do not spend the night.  

What are your fees for visits?

We offer both 30 and 50 minute house visits.  30 minute visits are $35 and 50 minute visits are $55. 

How does payment work?

All payment is made online via your preferred payment method at the time of booking.

Are there any charges for more than one pet?

We charge $5 per additional household pet (or additional enclosure/cage/aquarium) during check-in visits and a $5 per additional household dog during dog walks.

Are there any additional fees?

Services are charged per visit. Additional fees may include holiday visits, additional animal fee or nominal travel fee for N. Shore areas outside of Upcountry region.  All fees are established and agreed upon during booking.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

If you need to cancel a scheduled service or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible.  Any services cancelled within 15 days prior to booking will be charged at full rate. All services booked within 15 days are paid in full.

Do you offer services on holidays?

Yes! We offer service for the length of time you are gone, as agreed, including holidays. We charge a $15 additional fee per service on holidays.  Holidays include Valentine's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

When do we exchange keys? 

During the initial consultation, please provide at least one set of working house keys.  There is a fee of $15 per drop off/pick up if we need to schedule a key collection after the meet & greet or apart from the scheduled service.

What happens if my pet becomes sick or injured while I'm away?

In the event that your pet falls ill or sustains an injury while you're away, we will make every effort to get in touch with you and/or your designated emergency contacts.

If we are unable to reach you, we will refer to the action plan outlined in your pet's profile.

Our first attempt will be to contact your preferred veterinarian; however, if they are unavailable for any reason, we will promptly seek the services of another trusted veterinarian in the vicinity.

If you have specific preferences for such situations, please feel free to share them during our initial meet & greet session so that we can provide the best possible support.
